Information sent to our service providers
- Account information: email address, display name, focus intention, and account identifiers.
- Device information: a random installation identifier, device name, and last-active timestamp used to manage account sessions.
- Subscription information: purchase and entitlement status, plus subscription and paywall activity processed through Apple and Superwall.
How information is used
We use account and session information to create and secure your account and restore your profile. Apple and Superwall process subscription information to present offers and restore access. Superwall also processes paywall and subscription events for analytics. Your productivity analytics are calculated from data stored on your device.
On iOS, Apple’s Screen Time framework does not give FocusForge the names or bundle identifiers of the apps you select. The app stores the opaque Apple selection needed to apply shields and displays only the counts Apple provides.
Service providers
FocusForge uses Supabase for authentication and account storage, Resend for account emails, Apple StoreKit for subscriptions, and Superwall to present subscription offers and determine entitlement status.
Local and remote storage
Tasks, habits, focus progress, distraction counts, and blocking preferences are stored on your device so FocusForge works offline. They are not synced across devices. Supabase stores your account profile (email, name, and focus intention) and session information. Device-local account caches are separated by FocusForge account.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account exists. You can delete your FocusForge account in Settings. Deletion removes your account profile and associated app data from our systems and removes that account’s local app cache from the current device.
Deleting a FocusForge account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in Apple ID settings.
Security
We use authentication, access controls, and service-provider safeguards designed to protect account information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Update your name and focus intention in Settings.
- Control Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.
- Delete your FocusForge account in the app.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID settings.
Children
FocusForge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to focusforge222@gmail.com.
